Not sure, but I will tell you this, lots of kids each year get severe ear infections from swimming in pools that are not clean enough – the dirty water gets trapped behind their ears and infects it. I used a public swimming pool that reaked of chlorine when I was younger, they tested it every day supposedly, and lost part of my hearing from the ear infection that followed a few weeks of swimming there. I have had 2 different friends tell me that their kids swam in a pool at a gym (this was in Florida) and come down with severe ear infections. It’s almost impossible for them to keep the pools as clean as they should be. Lots of kids get breathing problems from the chlorine too, with the pools being in enclosed areas. I think I would confine them at least to outdoor pools where the chemicals can escape.
If you are a member, why don’t you just call them and find out?
I don’t think so. But they may have a child care program on site so you can work out.
